Camp Dartington is a scenic, family-friendly site welcoming campers to enjoy the smashing views of Dartmoor and the stunning North Devon coastline nearby. The camping area lies on the spectacular Dartington Estate; an ancient manor house positioned on the banks of the gleaming River Dart. The 14th-century Grade I-listed Dartington Hall is once served as the local art college, yet now functions as a non-profit social enterprise advocating the advancement of the arts, sustainability, and social justice. The campsite lies next to the English country house and holds forty well-spaced out pitches looking out over the lush Dartmoor National Park. Guests are also in an excellent position to access the rugged beaches, and scenic cliff walks in South Devon, so don’t forget to pack in your swimming gear, buckets and spades for relaxing afternoons of family fun. Communal facilities are immaculate and include five new electric hot showers, five toilets, a roomy washing station with two sinks, a compost loo and two water points. Delicious locally sourced food is a stroll away at the on-site Green Table Café and White Hart restaurant, which serves lunch and dinner meals. Potter around the beautifully landscaped gardens and watch as butterflies flitter between flowers like azaleas, rhododendrons and magnolias. Barbeques and campfires are encouraged. Pets welcome throughout the year.
