Stunning views, spacious fields and caring, welcoming owners are the orders of the day at the friendly Pilsdon View Camping site. The back-to-basics site rests in the romantic, rolling countryside of rural West Dorset and rests an ideal ten-minute drive from the amenities in the vibrant town of Bridport. Owners Terry and April share an aversion to an overcrowded campsite. They aim to eliminate the crowds and noise of a jam-packed site by providing a few pitches evenly spaced out on a manicured four-acres. There is plenty of space for the adults to stretch out, kick back and enjoy a slower pace of life while keeping a lazy eye over the nippers, who will be keen to play some ball games and make new friends. Barbeques, campfires and stargazing are encouraged here, so feel free to add sausages on the grill, brown marshmallows over dancing flames, and gaze up the mysteries of the heavens as you enjoy the sparkling night sky. If you’re not looking forward to roughing it out, take a look at the range of well-equipped, cosy bell tents for hire, each holding a maximum of four persons. Communal facilities are immaculate and include a toilet block, showers and a composting toilet. Friendly canines are most welcome to tag along.
