The welcoming campsite is ideal for those hankering for a holiday among the heaths and downs, yet handily positioned within easy reach of local attractions nearby. The Jurassic Coast has its wealth of golden sand beaches under an hours' drive away and famed visitor attractions like Stonehenge and Longleat. The serene, rural atmosphere belies the site's location to the buzzing town of Sturminster Newton with numerous shops, restaurants and pubs, set a ten-minute drive away. Castles, clifftop heaths and coarse fishing lakes lie sprinkled across the scenic surrounds, providing guests of all ages and abilities with a wealth of things to see and do. Savour more cracking countryside views via a hike up Hambleton Hill, located twenty-minutes away, and have a walk around the remains of an Iron Age Fort. Tour lavish castles like Sherborne Corfe and Lulworth, or marvel at the spectacular settings of mysterious standing stones at the historical Stonehenge. Beach days filled with surfing action and cliff kayaking are available at Lulworth Cove or let the kids explore the rock pools at the Purbeck Marine Wildlife Reserve.
