Rushmere Farm

Family-run Rushmere Farm is a small, friendly site nestled on a working farm extending over an estimated three-acre farm. Located between the A4136, which connects adventurers to the Forest of Dean and the 5611, the centrally positioned campsite is very welcoming. It provides campers with a relaxed ambience perfect for an idyllic escape from reality. Free-range chickens are often found having a nose around the visitors or furiously scratching away at the sand. At the same time, friendly horses in the neighbouring fields whinny and invite guests to come over for a spot of patting and perhaps a sly treat of carrots. There are three spacious fields for camping, so go ahead and find a secluded place to set up your touring vehicle or tent. Spacious grass bases with optional electric hook-ups are available. Basic yet immaculate shared facilities include the usual, like toilets, hot showers, washing up area, drinking water access, chemical disposal, and disabled-friendly amenities. The market town of Coleford rests a trifling ten-minute trot away, affording quick access to essential local amenities like shops, bars and restaurants. Outdoorsy types are bound to use the picturesque settlement as a base for short breaks into the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley. Train enthusiasts can marvel at various models at the Great Western Railway Museum while kids enjoy the otherworldly atmosphere at Puzzlewood. Friendly pets are most welcome.
