Cheddar Gorge

Located: Campsites in Bath, Somerset

Feather Down Farm Days Warren Farm is a cracking base for adventurous types searching for a day out with a difference. If you’re here to cheat on the standard camping under canvas escape or want to dip into the world of glamping, pack your bags and rumble over to this splendid campsite that joined the famed Feather Down Farms family in 2011. The welcoming Warren family have maintained the perfect balance of hospitality, leaving guests to themselves while taking care of your every need. Let one of the family show you to the stunning tent camping field – a spectacular spot quite literally on the top of the highest inland cliffs on the island. The sweeping vistas are nothing short of incredible, providing the less active guests with panoramic scenery to soak up along with some sunshine. As night falls, a shimmering display of stars come out, reminding the city folk that yes, the night sky does look this enchanting, minus the glaring light pollution. There are all sorts of interesting critters, so sign the animal-mad children up for a farm tour with affable James. An estimated 50-acres’ of land containing farm animals and produce like cereals provide lovely spaces for leaning back and whiling away the hours. The owners stock food supplies, plus items like marshmallows and hot chocolates for those late nights huddled around the flickering campfire. Dogs are most welcome to tag along.
