Wookey Farm is a bewitching little campsite that’s all kinds of friendly – eco-friendly, campfire-friendly and family-friendly. The world-famous Wookey Hole Caves, a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), has been a place of human occupation over 45 000 years ago and now serves as a tip-top spot for munchkins and their owners. An array of family-friendly attractions includes pirate adventure golf, a 4D cinema experience, a scale model village, and Valley of the Dinosaurs. The friendly pint-sized campsite rests just over two miles from the caves. It welcomes guests to enjoy the delights of verdant countryside camping, complete with farm animals that love being petted and fed, central campfires for evenings of stargazing and rope swings to help the rambunctious young ones burn pent up energy. Guests can take along a fire pit and laze idly on their pitch with a cold drink of choice in hand, while the more social sorts can use the communal campfire area to socialize with guests and make new friends. Kick back on your non-electric grass plot and soak in vistas of the famed Mendip Hills extending out towards the Hembury and Yardley hills. Guests can camp out in a flat two and a half-acre field or set up camp in a lush meadow bordered by the gleaming River Axe. Pets welcome.
