Perfectly positioned on the clean shores of Moray Firth, Fortrose Bay Campsite is a small friendly campsite providing a range of clean, well-maintained facilities set a short trot away from the historic seaside village of Fortrose. The peaceful village is home to several excellent restaurants, cafes, a supermarket, baker and butcher. The site serves as a well-placed base for adventures in the Highlands and boasts of a midge-free camping environment ensuring hours of happy sun worship. Kick start the day with a lovely stroll along the tranquil coast before breakfast. Explore coastal caves with the wee ones in tow, or marvel at magic waterfalls in the Fairy Glen. Treat the whole family to a well-deserved snack of coffee and cakes at the beach café or take a short stroll into the village for a hot meal. The Black Isle is also near the campsite and is an excellent destination for a delightful day out. Enjoy sweeping views of rolling farmland, explore a buzzing food and drink scene complete with craft beer, or uncover one of the best spots in Scotland for spotting frolicsome dolphins. Chanonry Point, which is a short walk from the site, also serves as an excellent spot for spotting seals, otters and dolphins. The site holds fifty pitches with or without 16 amp electric hook-ups. Fortrose Bay Campsite offers the usual facilities like a toilet block, hot showers, a washing up area, laundry, drinking water points, and chemical disposal.
