Escape from it all on the picturesque Isle of Canna, at the carefree, spacious Canna Campsite. This gorgeous little site truly is a world away from the hustle and bustle of the modern cities, affording some of the best views you’ll enjoy on a camping holiday. Undulating, green landscapes extend in all directions giving way to lovely shorelines frequented by curious seals dolphins, smaller whales and other marine animals. Local cows graze lazily on fertile farmland, and pretty stone houses look out over the ocean. Vehicles are strictly forbidden here, and wildlife thrives. On a clear day, the sparkling waters and bright blue skies create a carefree atmosphere and feeling of camping far from civilization. Majestic golden eagles lazily circle overhead. Puffins and razorbills rest on the jagged cliffs, calling out to one another as they take wing and swoop over the clear waters in search of food. This spectacularly scenic site is a nature lovers paradise and is not for those who enjoy the commercial comforts of larger parks. Soak in the coastal scenery or wander across green landscapes dotted with grazing sheep and cows. Wake up to breathtaking sunrises and head back to base to survey stunning sunsets as crackling campfire ushers in a twinkling canopy of stars. The site welcomes tents and offers a range of camping pods for those who prefer to camp in comfort. Communal facilities include a toilet block, showers, and a washing up area. Local produce is available at the site. Dogs welcome.
