Lochshiel Campsite is a small but cosy Camping and Caravanning Club Certificated Site tucked on the edge of the River Shiel. Set near Acharacle, a spot well-known for its striking natural beauty and tranquil ambience, the campsite is a credit to its owners, who work hard to ensure everything is spic and span for all guests. A welcome pack is provided on arrival containing helpful information, including a walking guide. The Ardnamurchan Peninsula is a fantastic location for a day or two of sightseeing, and guests can reach the smaller islands like Rum, Eigg, and Muck on boat trips. Most local restaurants require a reservation to dine, and there are plenty of excellent spots, including Mingarry Park Hotel and the café in Acharacle. The small-scale friendliness at Lochshiel Campsite is perfect for a relaxing escape. Pets are welcome.
