Beautifully placed in rolling countryside Bower Wigwam is the perfect base for adventurers looking to tackle the challenges of the North Coast 500. The site rests on a working farm, just ten miles from both Thurso and Wick, and serves as an ideal centre to uncover the tip of the mainland, Inverness, and Scotland’s rugged coastline. Depending on the season of reservation, guests can expect to see fluffy lambs and calves gambolling in the fields around the cabins. Kids and adults with a soft spot for baby animals are more than welcome to help the owner’s feed the wee critters at feeding time. The site accommodates four luxurious glamping cabins that can easily sleep up to five people. Each unit comes furnished with cosy mattresses, heating to stay nice and toasty during the colder months, plus a private fire pit and picnic tables outside for alfresco meals under the warm sun, or twinkling starlight sky. Shared facilities include access to the modern toilet block, new shower, and a kitchenette furnished with a fridge, microwave, toaster, cooker with stove plus essential cutlery and crockery. Free Wi-Fi is available for guest use. Fresh eggs, kindling, wood and barbeque packs are obtainable at the site for a modest fee. A restaurant, pub, beach shop and butcher are just four miles away in the lovely settlement of Castletown.
