Set on a small working farm in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, Acharn Farm Wigwams is the ideal spot for weary wanderers to kick back, and admire striking Scottish sceneries. Leave behind the stress of the cities, as you take over your glamping pod set out in a picturesque, grassy field bounded by hills, and leafy trees. The site was once the residence of James of the Glen, a local man wrongfully hanged for a murder he did not commit. Today, the campsite is home to hens, sheep, and cattle, and is the ideal base for getting lost in Scotland’s famed natural beauty. Take on a range of scenic outdoor pursuits ranging from forest walks, and cycling tracks to a golf course, and wildlife spotting. Soak in the dramatic surroundings, brimming with an abundance of wildlife. The snug wigwams are placed in a grassy field, next to a newly-converted kitchen and shower unit. Each unit comes furnished with a panel heater, electric lighting, and mattresses for four guests, plus facilities for steaming mugs of tea and coffee. Campers must bring bedding and towels, and (if applicable) a canine companion along for the stay. Guests are encouraged to have barbeques: however, campfires are not allowed for the site. Winter sports enthusiasts will have hours of entertainment at the Glencoe Ski Centre, and the Nevis Range Ski Resort.
