The small, friendly Laxdale Holiday Park rests in a scenic tree-lined area affording lovely views over the broad bay and the lively town of Stornoway. The park is an ideal centre point for explores into the islands of Lewis and Harris and offers a variety of accommodation to suit a range of travel needs and budgets. A level camping area holds nineteen hardstanding touring pitches with electric hook-ups and a grassy area for tents with no electric connections. Guests can also opt for static caravan holiday homes, wigwams, a bungalow, bunkhouse and lodge. The wooden wigwam pods have ample sleeping space for three or four adults and come furnished with a fridge, microwave, kettle, plus cutlery and crockery. Dogs are welcome in the pods. The bunkhouse is ideal for a low-cost stay and contains four rooms, each with four bunks. A fully equipped kitchen, large TV lounge area, drying area and other mod cons like fridges and microwaves are available in the bunkhouse. Wander from rocky coastal scenery to lovely beaches or explore attractions like the Callanish standing stones, and the Butt of Lewis. A refurbished amenities block offers hot showers, a chemical toilet, laundry, wastewater disposal plus a washing up area.
