Pair up with your cooped-up canine, and head out on a beautiful dog walk right from the site. Take a two and a half-mile saunter to the Bridge of Feugh, and spend a lazy afternoon spotting salmon leaping from the falls. For longer, scenic ambles take a turn around the loch of Glen Muick and spot timid deer trotting through the mists. The tots can marvel at the interactive exhibitions at the Science Centre, or browse the collections at the Maritime Museum in Aberdeen. The city of Aberdeen is ideal for beach days with the family, exciting discoveries along winding cobbled lanes, and delightful floral displays. Spend happy days at the largest park in the UK, the Cairngorms National Park. Alternatively, stay closer to the base with short trips to the town of Banchory.
