Glen Rosa

Glen Rosa is a lovely camping site, set at the foot of a glen offering guests a stunning array of sceneries. The ‘back to basics’ campsite is ideal for adventurers with a thirst for wild camping, and nature lovers who are keen to enjoy a heady holiday dose of lush landscapes and big skies. The lovely campsite rests on thirty acres of rolling countryside, in a lush glen just two miles from Brodick, the main village on the Isle of Arran. Pitch a tent or roll in with your campervan and switch off as you enjoy your scenic surroundings in an extensive grassy meadow. Guests can follow String Rd and turn right more or less immediately. The campsite will be around half a mile down the road. There is one toilet block for guest use with two washbasins. As bugs bunny would say, that’s all folks! There are provisions for drinking water for the ease of both long term and short stay campers. If you don’t mind basic facilities and the freedom to wander where you please and set flickering fires at night, Glen Rosa is the place to be. Set out on fantastic walks, enjoy refreshing dips in the river pool, or kick back and soak in the stunning surroundings as you enjoy a little slice of paradise. The popular viewpoint of the peak Cir Mhor and the clear waters of Rosa Burn are a smooth half an hours walk from the site. If you want to catch the bus to the Arran Heritage Centre, take a fifteen-minute stroll to the nearest bus stop. Tent campers are advised to bring sturdy tents and camping equipment for strong winds on rainy days.
