The Glentress Forest is within easy reach, and the delights of the stunning Scottish Borders are perfect for those who want to swap smog-filled cities with scenic, serene surrounds. Mountain bikers have heaps to see and do, and the outdoor adventurer is in for a treat owing to a wealth of hill walking routes, and pony trekking trails nearby. The little ones can enjoy forest floor activities, and tree top ropes courses at the Go Ape outdoor Adventure Company located an easy five-minute trot from the campsite. Spend your days exploring the romantic, rolling countryside, or kick back at the base and soak in the calming sounds of birdsong wafting over the hills as you sip on a cold drink of choice, and shake off the stress of modern life. Head back to base after a day of activity and unwind in your low-cost camping cabin or gather around the campfire and watch the stunning sunset sky as marshmallows brown over the crackling flames. Each abode has sleeping space for five and comes furnished with heating, lighting and a small fridge.
