Broom Caravan and Campsite

Broom Caravan and Campsite

Located: Campsites in Annan, Dumfries and Galloway

The Camping and Caravanning Club Certified Broom Caravan and Campsite is a family-run business spread out over a serene two-hundred-acre estate just a stone’s throw from the beach. First established in 1995, the site sits amid mature woodlands only fifteen minutes from Carlisle and smack bang on the Solway Coast. Owing to its proximity to the Scotland-England border, the campsite is an excellent place for a stop off for adventurers moving north to Scotland or south to England. The adults-only site (unless your children are fishing) and offers a blend of course fishing lakes and serene walking trails that brim with soothing sounds of nature and a fantastic array of wildlife. Anglers can pick from seven well-stocked lakes within the Broom Fisheries set a mere hundred meters from the site. The coarse fishing lakes are well-stocked with a variety of specimens, including carp, barbell, rudd, and bream. On-site tackle shop stocks bait, kits and other supplies, so don’t fret if you forget your gear. If you’re not a fishing fan, the serene surrounds are ideal for relaxing strolls around the lakes. Dogs are more than welcome to join in on the fun, so get your fur baby on a leash, and head out for a pawsome adventure. When you tire of the lake views, take a quick jaunt to the beach nearby and feel the sand crunch under your toes. The campsite welcomes tents, caravans plus motorhomes and provides both hardstanding pitches and electric hookups.
