Galabank is an independent campsite set at an elevated position, overlooking the gleaming waters of the River Annan and Everholm Park. The owner Margaret welcomes tents, caravans and motorhomes to set up camp on well-spaced pitches with electric hookups. Look forward to a warm welcome from the warden who will show you around, make sure you’re settled into your pitch, and answer any niggling doubts. Well-maintained facilities include a toilet block, hot showers, a washing up area, laundry, drinking water points, and chemical disposal. Annan is a lively little town with a lovely fish and chips shop, plus a decent off license/ store. Rugby fans can head next door when the games are on followed by a quick stroll to the centre of Annan to toast the winning team. There are heaps of shops and amenities in the town, so feel free to whiz over to stock up on camping essentials. Follow the stile at the site for a serene walk along the river which also forms part of the Annandale Way. Cycling enthusiasts can pedal along the Sustrans Cycle Path and enjoy a lively morning exploring the area.
