West Moss-Side is a member of the Camping and Caravaning Club, set out on a lovely working farm and livery stables. The quiet, peaceful site is the ideal spot for those in search of a relaxing getaway. Shake off the schedules and stress of modern life as you sit back and enjoy the open site with marvellous sceneries out across the Solway. Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere at the site as you hook up and drink in the views and observe majestic horses grazing or relaxing in lush green fields. Owner Gary limits the number of tents and tourers permitted on the site and offers just enough pitches to accommodate five caravans or motorhome, and no more than ten trailers or tents. Guests can opt for the grass or hardstanding pitches with vistas across the sparkling sea. Fur babies are more than welcome to join in on the adventures, and the Solway Coast Heritage Trail is a fantastic route for both man and canine to explore. Cyclists and walkers can also head out into the enclosing area to uncover serene walking paths and peaceful country lanes for hours of enjoyment. Be sure to pack in filed glasses to observe the wealth of birdlife around the site or spot playful seals having a lark on the opposite shore. For more wildlife head over to the Wetland Visitor Centre a few miles down the road, or explore the moated ruins of the magnificent Caerlaverock castle.
