Take a relaxing ramble to the village pub about ten minutes from the site for a well-deserved pint and delicious homemade dishes. The family-friendly smithy lies in a quiet hamlet of Glenmidge, just eight miles north of Dumfries. The small, peaceful site extends over lush farmland. It offers heaps of peace and spectacular views in stunning rural landscapes that brim with an abundance of wildlife including the elusive Red Squirrel. Glampers can also book a stay at the stylishly converted 18th century Galloway stone cottage which once serves as the village blacksmith’s shop. Excellent pubs, hotels and bars are within two-miles of the campsite and serve up hot, homemade dishes made with the freshest local produce.
