Lochside Caravan Park

Set in the very heart of Castle Douglas, Lochside Caravan Park rests beside the beautiful Carlingwark Loch and serves as an ideal base for exploration owing to its proximity to the A75 Euroroute. Enjoy a five-minute walk to the town offering a range of shops, and excellent places to eat as well as lush gardens, well-maintained swimming pools, and other local leisure facilities. The site is one of the best in Dumfries and Galloway, offering a hundred and eight caravan pitches containing a mix of both hardstanding and grass. There is a separate area for ninety-eight serviceable tent pitches with 10 amp electric hookup conveniences. A wide range of amenities includes two toilet and shower blocks with disabled-friendly facilities, freshwater points across the site, laundry and sink for dishwashing, chemical disposal, and recycling services. The kids will have heaps of fun making new friends in the play park on-site, or enjoying exciting rides in the pedalo boats available for hire at Lochside. Site residents can enjoy free fishing and boating on the lodge. Walkers and fur babies can head out for exciting walks and take in the spectacular sceneries of the Loch. Local attractions include the magnificent Galloway Forest and Dark Skies Park, Threave Castle and estate, and the Red Kite Trail. The Food Town of Castle Douglas is minutes away from the site.
