The campsite is the ideal spot for a family break or a couples getaway and provides first-class facilities, spacious pitches, and well-maintained luxury caravans. Guests are welcome to book a cosy caravan abode, pitch a tent, or set up camp in a recreational vehicle and enjoy the sights and serenity of this idyllic location. The beach is perfect for fun family days out and contains a thriving population of giant starfish and crabs. Let the kids explore intriguing species in rock pools, or take a stroll along the beach to uncover heaps of exciting attractions in Southerness. Enjoy family walks along the coast to the lighthouse or make a reservation at the pub nearby for fantastic views from the top of the structure. End the day with a sizzling family barbeque back at base or on the beach. An on-site shop stocks all camping essentials so feel free to pop in and stock up on barbeque meats and other goods for the grill. If you’d prefer someone else to do the cooking, trot over to the Dunes Restaurant and dig into scrumptious snacks and meals. The kids will have plenty to do, including scavenger hunts, pool competitions, junior karaoke, and more. Head over to the Mermaid Bar for family entertainment and activities ranging from live music and acts to exciting family activities like fashion shows and camel racing nights.
