This eco-friendly, off-grid campsite is the perfect getaway and provides jaw-dropping countryside views and heaps of space for the whole family to stretch out and unwind. Set out on a few acres of farmland the campsite is just twenty minutes away from the fringes of Galloway Forest Park where long scenic walks, peaceful drives, glittering lochs, and heaps of wildlife are the order of the day. A gleaming river passes by the campground, creating an idyllic setting for fishing enthusiasts to cast a line and enjoy a relaxed afternoon waiting for a catch. The dog-friendly site has a small freshwater pond that is ideal for fur babies to splash about, and the spacious campsite is perfect for furry friends to scamper about and dry off before sharing sleeping space. The site accommodates hardstanding and grass pitches with or without electric hookups and welcomes tents, campervans and motorhomes. Pop over to the picturesque town of Moniaive for a delicious meal at the restaurant or stock up on meats and produce and head back to base for a delicious barbeque. This is a back to basics site, so facilities are limited. A compost toilet is available for guest use.
