The friendly, family-owned Drumroamin Farm Camping and Caravan Site is a rural caravan and camping site with stunning vistas over Wigtown Bay. The campsite rests in an excellent spot for birdwatching and stargazing and is just five miles from the lively town of Wigtown. Enjoy the benefits of setting up camp in an area of Scotland best known for some of the darkest skies in Europe. The site accommodates twenty spacious electric bases and thirty non-electric pitches evenly spread out on a flat, well-drained field. A modern, heated toilet block contains three large, powerful showers for ladies, gents plus a family and disabled shower room. All hot water is free of charge. An indoor washing area for dishes, washing machines, and tumble dryer are coin-operated. Guests are also welcome to use the fridge and freezer for ice blocks, and ice cubes so be sure to name label yours. Bike and boat enthusiasts are often pleased to know there is a secure storage area for both bikes and boats. Canine companions are more than welcome to join in, and a wooded dog walk a mile from the site is perfect for long toddles and playful scampers after curious critters. Enjoy a day of family fun at the Monreith Animal World, explore the secluded bay and gardens at Galloway House Gardens, taste Scotland’s most refined whiskey at Bladnoch Distillery Visitor Centre or watch ospreys in Wigtown.
