Strathfillan Wigwams is a lovely site set on a peaceful working farm within the stunning Trossachs National Park, in the West Highlands. Settle into your swish abode and wake up to sweeping views of thick forests, vivid wildflowers, and the soft trills of birdsong. Head out for woodland walks directly from the campsite, or kick back and soak in the relaxing atmosphere as you sip on a glass of bubbly. Strathfillan offers tent campers the use of a spacious field dotted with generous grass plots without electric hookups. Swish wigwams are also available at the site and serve as a fantastic way to savour the thrills of remote camping while enjoying a range of creature comforts. Trot over to the River Allt Auchtertyre and spend a quiet afternoon gazing dreamily at the babbling waters, or plop yourself down in a shady nook with a blanket, book and a packed lunch for a blissful evening of quiet. Discover a cascading waterfall near the site or head out for a day trip via the coach and train service nearby. Head back to base after a day of sightseeing and get a campfire going to cook dinner over the crackling flames or huddle around for a sing-along under the sparkling stars.
