Treberfedd Farm is a hands-on working organic farm set just ten miles from the Cardigan Bay coastline. The nearest settlement is the picturesque village of Ystrad Aeron, located a mere ten-minute drive away, with a range of excellent bars, restaurants and other local facilities. This is a back-to-basics campsite, offering a traditional camping atmosphere with non-electric grass pitches reserved exclusively for tents. Only one tent can stand on each base, and no more than four adventurers are allowed on each plot. Campers wanting to do away with the stress of wrestling with tent pegs and the damp floor aspect of camping can opt for a stay in the swish Dora gipsy caravan. The well-equipped abode has sleeping space for two and features a woodburning stove to keep things toasty and cosy on chilly evenings. Use the site as your base for a coastal walk, boat trips to observe marine wildlife like dolphins and seals, and glorious beach days with the tots. Keep a lazy eye as the tykes scamper about, make sandcastles, gleefully splash in safe swimming beaches and tuck into a refreshing ice-cream on sunny afternoons. Guests can also dive into the area's local history with a stop at the Dolaucothi Gold Mines, set just thirty minutes from the campsite. The owners encouraged campers to explore the farm, say hello to farm animals, follow woodland trails and keep an eye out for local wildlife. Sorry, no pets allowed.
