Pistyll Rhaeadr is the perfect spot to park or pitch a tent if you find yourself one of many adventurers who seem to fall under the mystical power of thundering waterfalls. Pistyll Rhaeadr is the highest waterfall in the country, and its allure lies more in its elegant decent rather than the sheer drop of the falls. There has been a friendly campsite in these parts since 1920, and it continues to thrive under the guidance of new owner Phil Pacey, who fell in love with the serene settings on a weekend escape from Norwich. The site aims to pay homage to the magnificent nature surrounding campers and provides adventurers with the freedom to tune into a less hectic way of life while savouring the sights and sounds of this lush area. There are a few occupancy rules that aim to ensure guests have the ideal settings for a relaxing stay. Electronic music is a no-no at the site: however, guitars at campfire sing-alongs are more than encouraged. Campers must respect one another and share the peace of the campsite without creating a disturbance. There is a no-alcohol rule: guests are more than welcome to have the odd glass of wine. These rules may mean Pistyll Rhaeadr is not the best fit for all, yet the site is perfect for folk who want to immerse themselves in the soul of the place. Pets welcome.
