Nant y Cyrtiau is a peaceful, seventeen-acre smallholding ideally located just outside the stunning Snowdonia National Park. The back to basics campsite is a mere ten minutes driving distance from the market town of Bala and shares a camping field with friendly sheep, ducks, horses and hens who are more than happy to be fed and fussed over. Let the kids forage for freshly-laid eggs or purchase a clutch for a delicious barbeque breakfast. The owners prize tranquillity over a commercial, profitable setting and limit the number of guests to ensure an idyllic back to basics atmosphere remains throughout the campsite. Facilities are basic yet entirely sufficient for a wild camping experience and comprise of a sole compost toilet. Collect firewood for a campfire or barbeque in the woods, cool wine and other cold bevvies in the bubbling stream nearby, and collect water from the spring if bottled water is not available at the site. Well-behaved pups are more than welcome at the site, and a thoughtful fenced off area can accommodate your fur baby for short spells when canines cannot tag along. Pitch up next to the sparkling stream and enjoy a secluded, peaceful getaway. There are only a few tourers and tents at any given time enhancing the wild camping feel.
