Slate Mill Lodge is a super little site providing guests with private streamside plots, nestled in a quiet, secluded valley. The campsite is close to the nature-filled island of Skomer, and enjoys proximity to the golden coastline, affording easy access to glorious days of sun, sea and sand. Nature lovers will be all agog as they explore the bird-spotting haven of Skomer Island. Hop on a boat and uncover the natural delights at this incredibly unique isle located less than a mile off the pristine Pembrokeshire coast. Puffins are the primary highlight here: however, there is so much wildlife to see in this renowned bird paradise. Watch as dolphins frolic in the gleaming waters or observe Atlantic grey seal basking on the rocks. If you’d like to enjoy the sights and sounds of wildlife closer to base, mosey over to the nature-rich coastal path and traipse through summer wildflowers, watch seals nursing their young and gaze up the heavens to see winged species soaring around the campsite. If watersports and beach days are more you’re vibe; you’re ideally placed to access stunning Pembrokeshire beaches which are perfect for water-based antics like kayaking, sailing, diving, and surfing. Head back to base and slap on meats and other barbeque bits for a sunset alfresco meal or huddle around the campfire, and whisk out the guitar for a sing-along around a crackling campfire. Slate Mill Lodge provides grass and gravel plots with optional electric. Pets welcome.
