Melin Mabes is a lovely, secluded campsite, set in remote, quiet, wooded grounds, just two miles from family-friendly attractions like Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo. The site is only ten minutes from the azure rolling waves and golden sands of Saundersfoot beach, affording easy access for glorious days of sun, sea and sand. Guest are welcome to pitch a tent or park up on spacious plots set within the grounds of abandoned 16th-century mill and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this compact, friendly site. The cheery owners are at hand to welcome campers, make sure everyone is settled in, and offer a wealth of pointers on the local area, including the best local paths and trails. Walking enthusiasts can mosey down gentle trails, winding past gleaming rivers, or join up notable Pembrokeshire classics like the Miner’s Walk, Golden Road, and the Landsker Borderlands Trail. The amusements of the famous Pembrokeshire coast are a mere ten-minute drive away. Surfing types can tackle the excellent waves at Broad Haven and Whitesands Bay in fifteen minutes. Days out in Tenby are as easy as pie. The lively harbour town, set a half hours distance from the campsite, boasts three wide beaches and a ruined castle. Stock up on bits for a sunset barbie while you’re there. Pets welcome.
