This family-operated campground welcomes campers, glampers, and caravan wanderers. The site offers twenty-five spacious, super pitches, fifteen camping pitches, plus a holiday cottage, and a yurt each boasting of a wood-fired hot tub. The under-footed heated shower block and toilet are lovely on the feet and remains a firm favourite with the campers. When you're not drinking in stunning 360-degree views from your pitch, venture into the picturesque village of Hartington, or explore the market towns of Bakewell, Buxton, Ashbourne, and Leek. A large portion of the adjacent field remains cleared for tots to run around to their heart's content. Let the kids meet the Shetland ponies on the weekend, or point out swooping owls, buzzards, and red kites. Dog owners can let cooped up canines explore the mowed paths across and around the sprawling campsite. Campers with access needs, as well as families with small children and babies, can make use of the large wet rooms. Other facilities include a kitchen area for washing up, a freezer for ice packs, a washing machine, and dryer. Stock up on camping essentials at the grocery stores in Hartington, or visit the supermarket located ten miles from the campsite. Spend your days enjoying picnics on the banks of the River Dove and the River Manifold. Use the campground as a base to explore the enclosing dales or hire a bike and follow the Manifold Cycle Trail. The famed Tissington Cycle Trail is a mere three miles away. Get back to nature at this friendly, clean campsite surrounded by stunning countryside.
