Jacobs Copse is the place to be for a camping experience with a twist. Guests are welcome to swap the standard tent experience on bumpy ground for woodland hammock camping on a beautiful 10-acre woodland site. Swap sleeping on uneven ground for a cosy hammock, swaying gently in the breeze, sheltered under the trees for an authentic outdoor camping experience. The small campsite is perfect for wild camping stays, complete with unrivalled privacy and the freedom to have this lush and entirely peaceful 10-acre woodland to yourself, irrespective of booking one or all the hammocks on offer. There are no noisy groups and the soothing sounds of nature to soothe the mind of stress and schedules that are simply unavoidable in the big cities. Charges include a hammock and tarp and access to on-site amenities, including a fire pit with a fire lighting kit. Guests are welcome to bring their wood or purchase some from the campsite. There is a composting toilet, an eco-solar shower with a constant flow of water for five to six minutes and a 20-litre dry storage bag provided for each person on arrival. The site rests on the eastern portion of the New Forest, a half-hour’s drive from Southampton and a mile from two pubs and a local shop. Sorry, no pets are allowed at present.
