Dove Cottage is a compact, friendly, Camping & Caravanning Club Certified Site positioned near an extensive, traffic-free network of lanes sandwiched between the River Waveney and the A143. The small and peaceful site is the perfect base for cycling enthusiasts, pedalling along numerous quiet routes and getting better acquainted with the stunning surroundings. The camping field rests just inside the farm, with spacious grass plots with electric hook-ups for tents, small campervans, motorhomes and caravans. There is a converted stable block next door that functions as a roomy toilet and shower, with hot and cold water. Other basic amenities include a washing up area, drinking water points, a washing machine, and chemical disposal. Camping out on a working farm opens up the delights of making friends with the usual menagerie of farm animals, including friendly horses, pretty doves, placid sheep, and fluffy dogs who are bound to come bounding up for a bit of affection. The site also has a cockerel who likes to look at the new campers when he isn’t scratching away at the soil. Delicious homemade meals and alcoholic beverages are available at Toft Monks, and the town of Beccles is a short trot away. Sorry, no pets are allowed.
