Calamankey Farm is the kind of place the small sorts will love, blending open green spaces for playing with a collection of fluffy farm animals that are of constant interest to kids (and adults) of all ages. The campsite rests on a traditional working sheep farm with ample space for caravanning, camping and open-air frolics. Guests are nestled near Falmouth at the base of the Lizard Peninsula, nestled amid rolling countryside with spectacular views across the undulating hills to St Mawes and the lovely Roseland Peninsula beyond. Animal lovers of all ages are welcome to make friends with the furry creatures on-site, which include a flock of Westcountry sheep, guanacos, llamas, horses, and friendly working sheepdogs that often come bounding up to the guests for a pat or two. The camping area extends over a roomy, gently-sloping field, looking over the open and peaceful countryside. There is plenty of space for 45 tents and 15 campervans or motorhomes to set up camp and enjoy room for stretching out and drinking in the views. Guests who prefer a little more comfort on the road can look into hiring out a static caravan on the premises. Dogs are most welcome to tag along and must remain on a lead at all times.
