Walnut Tree Farm is a friendly campsite tucked away on a peaceful Somerset farm, roughly a half hour’s drive from the splendid cities of both Bristol and Bath. The cheery owners have not marked out pitches as guests are free to claim as much space as required for camping. Zero restrictions on pitch size ensure campers have the freedom to stretch out and make use of the room to enjoy a relaxing holiday. Go ahead, set up your tent on a non-electric base by the sparkling stream, or find a sheltered corner looking out over the neighbouring fields. Go ahead and set up your outdoor furniture and paddling pools for a relaxing escape from the complexities of modern life. Bring out the grill and slap on bangers and other bits for a sizzling alfresco meal, or create a campfire corner and huddle around the warmth of the flickering flames as the stars twinkle in the canopy above. The owners sell firewood which is handy for maintaining a good blaze. Eco-friendly facilities include compost toilets and a bunkhouse furnished with hot showers, and a guest kitchen equipped with a fridge, washing machine and oven. Sorry, no pets allowed on the premises.
