Campervan Hire Denbighshire

Set in northern Wales, the historic county of Denbighshire is the longest known inhabited portion on Wales. The small county sits between the provinces of Flintshire, Cheshire, Caernarfonshire plus Merionethshire and is known for its distinctive shape. The region was home to settlers as far back as 225,000 years ago. The River Dee and the Vale of Clwyd were the most settled in areas. The hill fort of Pen-y-Corddyn attests to Iron Age settlements, and the county was once the site for two Roman roads and an essential ancient route.

Today the county depends on tourism, and there is much to do in the province of Denbighshire. Enjoy a day by the award-winning shoreline, stroll along the stunning countryside, explore a castle or enjoy a meal at an eatery or pub in one of Denbighshire’s many quaint villages. The county provides a variety of water sports including white-water rafting and kite-surfing. Inland the country is primarily agricultural, and the rolling countryside is especially inviting for long walks and explorations. To the south and west of the county, you’ll find the landscape giving way to mountains. The 240-foot waterfall of Pistyll-y-Rhaeadr is definitely worth a visit!
