Great holiday, first time we campervanned. Very helpful and friendly owner, and a clean comfy well equipped van. Much more luxury than a tent. We had everything we needed and had a really nice break in Cornwall.

If you are looking for the original VW camper experience look no further. Brotchen is a wonderful bus who will transport you back to 1971 with style. We didnt stress about traffic jams or getting anywhere quickly, just chilled out and relaxed watching everyone point and smile as we cruised along. The van had everything we needed for a great weekend, Bianca and Chris the owners had provided lots of personal touches and even thought of an MP3 player with period music! If I had a bus this good I am not sure I could bring myself to hire it out!!

We had a great weekend driving around the North-East in this lovely camper van, with our two small children (2mth&3yr). The original interior has the added bonus of an inertia seat belt at the rear which was crucial for fitting both our childrens car seats. Martin and Jo were both very helpful and everything went smoothly.

Took Betsy the camper to a rather rainy Download festival at Donington - lovely to drive, and provided the much needed shelter from the storm! Lovely camper, wouldnt hesitate to book again for next year...

We love Dorothy. A group of four of us drove her from London to Devon for the weekend to catch some waves at Croyde. She was incredibly comfortable, extremely stylish, attracted a lot of admirers, was completely reliable, and gets up to good speeds. Her amount of storage in various cupboards is ingenious, she easily carried our four surfboards and we had room to change into our wetsuits whilst sheltering from the wind. Dorothy is looked after immaculately by her lovely and very helpful owners, she has a huge amount of character, and she couldnt be more fun

We had a great weekend in the van hired from Matthew and his family. They were flexible about the hire dates and kept in good contact to organise pick up etc. The van was very comfortable, great use of space and accommodated our family of four very well. We used the heater on the second night to give extra warmth for our 1yr old and she slept like a baby (and therefore so did we!)
Whilst my days of camping in a tent are long gone Ive definitely been converted to the relative luxuries of a campervan.

We had a fantastic week in Georgie in Scotland. Despite it being the end of May the weather was pretty wintery so it was wonderful to be warm and cosy in the van in the evenings.
We spent a couple of nights on Islay surrounded by whisky drinking Danes (the week of the annual whisky festival) then a few nights at a wonderful little site at Kilchoan, Ardnamurchan. Worth the long drive!
Sarah was extremely helpful and the van was really clean and organised. I wouldnt hesitate to rent Georgie again.

My boyfriend and I hired out Tango a beautiful orange original campervan from a private hirer based in Falmouth. Everything was brilliant, from the moment we first contacted about the campervan to the day he picked us up from the airport and everything in between. We did a coastal tour of Cornwall in 6 days and couldnt have been happier with the chioce of vehicle. Everything was provided for us and even the cuttlery was fun with campervan doodles all over them! The fridge was fab as were the two gas hobs. It definately felt like we were glamping! The campervan lived up to its name and drove along perfectly, I already miss the noice of the engine. I was slightly wary of it being a left hand drive, having never driven a left hand before, but it was so easy and got use to it within hours. We felt like celebrities cruising around and even once a little girl filmed us coming back out of a car park, which was amusing. Was very sad to let it go, I almost drove it back home! Thank you Clive and Michelle for an unforgettable experience!!

Beautiful evening at Henry's campsite!

We had the best time ever, the van was an absolute dream and made the whole holiday! Everything worked absolutely fine and Sam, the owner was really helpful in sorting it all out with us, got it all organised in less than a week. No question, we will definitely be doing it again and cant wait to take Van Persie out on our next big adventure. Thanks very much Sam!

We had a brilliant time in our campervan - we travelled quite a distant and the van was very good on the motorway and then : arrived in style in rural Derbyshire for our nieces wedding. The weather held so we were able to try out the awning - great weekend away cant wait for the next

FANTASTIC!!!! We hired sydney for a 4 day roadtrip to Devon and Cornwall. It was brilliant from word go. Sue (owner of Sydney the VW) was so helpful and quick in replying to any questions we had in organising the hire. The camper came fully equipped and she provided extra little bits for us which made it even more enjoyable, for example BBQ. She was a pleasure to deal with throughout! Sydney was also very comfy to sleep in too. She also cooked us breakfast :) she is around the £36 for full tank which got is around 200. It was such a fun few days with sydney and we would do it again in a heartbeat. Shes a lil beauty!!

FANTASTIC Service! We hired - at fairly short notice for the bank holiday weekend. The owners were very very quick and helpful in responding making our lives really easy. When we arrived at their yard it was clear that the owners have long experience with campervans having their own mechanics workshop and therefore the vans undergo good maintenance by the owner himself. Furthermore his yard is a secure off road compound so we could easily leave our car there safely and securely. We hired a T4 type which was really well fitted out. Nothing awkward or cumbersome and all of the accessories were really good right down to the directors chairs which were solid and not flimsy like many fold up chairs. Thumbs up all round! Sadly I dont have any photos but if any of our friends who were with us during our holiday took some I will upload them.

Our task... A four day road trip to Autostadt Wolfsburg in Lester our hired T5 and my brothers VW T4. Nearly 1500 miles round trip was no problem for Lester, a real motorway mile muncher. Lester is a fantastically equipped VW California with loads of space for our stuff and a family of four. Hired from Alistair and Rob - excellent service, nothing was too much trouble 110% satisfied and would highly recommend to anyone.

We had a great time in no small part due to being temporary owners of this superb vehicle!

Autostadt camping

We collected Lola just outside Falmouth in Cornwall and toured for a week around the peninsular, ending up at a festival in Perranporth. Everything went very smoothly in the run up to hire, and the hand over of the van was just right. Once we got used to the new driving style, we really enjoyed the slower pace of life, and would not hesitate to recommend the website, the owners and Lola herself. She was immacuately presented, motored beautifully and had enough equipment for guests to join us for meals. A truly wonderful holiday. Thank you.

we hired a lovely camper called Hattie - We couldn\t fault the company who kept in touch with us leading up to hiring the van and were really flexible with pick up and return times which helped us enjoy the holiday more.

Hattie was in brilliant condition and had all we need to enjoy the trip, including a toy van and colouring in for the kids.

We really loved the whole experience, especially waving to all the other VW campers we passed.

The trip in Dixie was booked as a surprise for our friends 60th birthday. The booking went without a hitch and Rob the owner could not have been more helpful. He arranged a 2hour trip with time for our friend to have a drive. he was absolutely thrilled and hasnt stopped talking about the trip. Dixie is well cared for and well loved and we are hoping to find an excuse to hire him ourselves.

A great holiday in Cornwall made all the better by hiring Connie. A great camper in wonderful condition, and a real pleasure to drive. Things just more leisurely when driving a 40+ year old VW. The owners were fantastic to deal with, and spent time covering all the necessary handover points, making sure we felt completely comfortable before we left.
Would definitely recommend Camperbug, and especially hiring Connie.

We had a brilliant time in the campervan we hired...just perfect for our little family trip to Scotland and Wales. Everything was easy and relaxed and just as promised (wish we could say the same for the weather!)...it just wouldnt have been the same any other way...the camper made the trip what it was, and now its part of our familys happy memories. If youre in any doubt, just go for it. There will be no regrets!
