What a fantastic weekend we had with Fred. He was very comfortable, warm at night and we made quite a few cuppas on the hob. The fridge was plenty big enough. The drive was great with lots of on lookers even a few TV celebrities. Would definitely hire Fred again. It was really good fun and and excellent experience if youve never done this before. The owners were very helpful so all round couldnt fault it. sorry Ive tried to download some great photos but other than buffering for 30 minutes I gave up.

Thank you to Amy and Family for letting us rent Bluerae. We had a fantastic week in Northumberland with the van. Beautifully kept with everything you need for a short break included. Loved every minute of it.

We rented Mya in late September for a 5-day drive around the south. Mya handled motorways, inclines and country lanes readily. She was very comfortable to eat, sleep and live in for the two of us, and it was easy to park her everywhere. We really loved how her dragonfly fairy lights would illuminate the whole vehicle whenever we hooked her up to the mains. John handled everything perfectly and even ferried us to and from Ebbsfleet station. A great experience and we cant wait to see her again.

We hired "Florence" for one week in September! We were two adults plus one infant and had a great week at the coast. Florence has everything one needs and there was nothing i could think of missing. The van was well looked after, very neat and clean!

As the van was older than the drivers one had to get used to it, but once one got accustom to her, driving was unforgettable experience in a positive way!

We are very thankful, that David trusted us and hired Florence out.

We hired Bella and Bluebell - Libby and her husband - were fantastic from start to finish.

The camper vans were in a beauiful condition, and from the conversations we had via email you could tell how they had a true passion for the era they came from, and when we meet Libby at a local wedding fair, she was so friendly, personable and was happy to talk about anything to do with hiring both campervans.

The process of hiring was very stright forward, and completing the requirments sheets of what we would like on the day of our wedding was really easy.

On the day of the wedding, the vans, came bang on time and decorated as we ask for. We were allowed to take as many photo\s in and around the vans, and we even got our drink of choice , which was tea, and the mugs and flask was of that era was a nice touch. Even the music in the vans and how Libby was dressed was of the era they came from, which was again a nice touch. Everyone at the wedding commented on how lovely the vans were and was a unique choice as a wedding choice.

Both Libby and her husband were so lovely and you could not hope to meet to nicer people, we are so greatful that they contributed to making our day extra special.

We had a fabulous weekend in Blue Rae. It was such fun. We were nice and toasty despite the cold and rain. Amy and family were a delight to meet. Her communication throughout the process was excellent. The van was immaculate and well stocked. We are looking forward to doing it again soon.

Mordor is a lovely well presented van, and the owners Karen and Paul were excellent to deal with, very thorough with explaining everything about the van and it comes with pretty much everything you would need for your trip, love the added touch of a starter hamper to get you going.
Would definitely hire him again, unless we get our own in the mean time.

We had a fantastic time renting the camper, mark was so easy to deal with , the trip was to see if we would enjoy the Campervan life with a view to getting our own sometime in the future, we had such a great time , we pick our camper up next week....would definitely recommend renting this camper.

We took Ralf to East Sussex for two nights. We parked up under oak trees at the campsite and got right on with campfires & out door fun. All 4 of us slept like babies tucked up inside, and hes a sweet drive!
The owners were very helpful and at the end of the phone if we needed them.

at the beach...fancy a brew?

What a great idea! Bin the idea of 3 nights in a tenet, with a final night in a spa, and opt for a campervan for the 4 nights instead!! A big thanks to David and his team for moving at super short notice to get us sorted in 3 days. The Van was spotless and of course for a VW, it was well laid out, easy to organize ourselves and an easy drive too. We’d pre-booked the first 2 nights and left it to chance for the final two. We stumbled on a super site on the way up Hardknot pass – a route we’d never have taken with a caravan!! We’ve definitely caught the bug, so we’ll be hiring again, assuming we don’t break open the piggy banks to buy one….

Myself, my wife and our two cheeky chihuahuas - Maggie and Rupert had the most amazing weekend when we hired Bodhi to go to the BusFest in Malvern. Great communication with the owner Darren. Bodhi is a really gorgeous, well equipped camper van and Id highly recommend anyone to hire him. Thanks again Darren and Bodhi for a memory making weekend.

Overall experience with the camper, very good however, some slight difficulties with pick up and drop off with the owner.

The camper we hired was Daisy Doo, it was amazing for what we wanted and the overall holiday was amazing! We went travelling around in Devon and Cornwall, staying at beaches and various campsites, making new friends and new memories.

The pull out rock and roll bed was super comfy and easy to manage. The storagespace was more than enough for the two of us which made storing luggage away easy.

My partner was not used to driving a camper so this was a new experience for us but he soon picked it up. A downside was when using the brakes, the camper would swing to the right slightly (this would mean that the left hand breaking system wasnt working sufficiently to keep the vehicle straight during breaking).
This didnt cause too much of a problem as we learnt to deal with it and counter-steer lol! But if you were not prepared for this, it could cause an accident!

When picking up the camper the owner told us that the campervan would slightly steer to the right under hard breaking and he has had it checked out however, on the drop off of the camper, we mentioned that it would steer whatever the severity of breaking, he acted as if he didnt know of this and replied I will get that checked out. So unsure about that??

The gas cooking equipment that was supplied didnt lock the gas cyclinder at all, meaning we had to buy our own. This was not a problem to us as we will use the one we bought in the future, however, it was included in the price so expected it to work.

On collection of the campervan, we arrived at the collection point which took myself and my partner 1 hour 30 mins to get there, we arrived to meet the owner who told us that the camper was not ready and was currently stuck inside a storage unit of which he does not have the keys for and the lady who does have the keys was hours away.

This was very upsetting and inconvenient as we had to drive back home (another 1 hr 30 mins!) to then drive back and collect it when it was ready (again- another 1 hr 30 mins), this was late in the evening which meant we missed a day of travelling so we arrived in Devon at 1am in the morning instead of 5pm in the evening, as planned.....

On drop off the campervan, the owner didnt seem to be present and we waited around for 30 minutes before asking the local mechanics if they knew of his where-abouts.......of which they didnt.
He finally arrived after waiting about 1 hour again, this was disappointing.

Overall, great holiday and would do it again but with a different campervanowner.

What a fantastic weekend we had! We hired The Splitty from West Sussex and were over the moon!. Our journey took us to Bournemouth, Lyme Regis, Sandbanks and back to Lychette Minster before heading home. The Camper was very clean and catered for all our needs. Was such a shame to give it back! The hire process was easy and after a few minor issues (our side) we got away on time and back ontime! I would thoroughly recommend hiring through Camperbug, extremely helpful and easy as 1 2 3.

Fantastic! We are a family of four who hired Becky for a weekend. John (the owner) could not have been more helpful. We now definitely have the camperbug! It was so much fun and Becky was amazing. She was well equipped and easy to use. Cant recommend strongly enough.

We took Henry to France for a week, so we had to rename him Henri! It was truly excellent.

Henri was a pleasure to drive, and really fun too! Andrew was helpful throughout, he made it easy to get going quickly and was flexible about when we returned Henri. Id thoroughly recommend hiring a VW Campervan (especially Henri) to anyone, it gives you such freedom. We will be hiring Henri again sometime.

We had a great trip in Vinnie the Van. Thanks to Nick for being so efficient, friendly and helpful. He gave us an excellent tour of the van and all its features. It was well equipped and spotless. Loved the orange colour scheme for all the equipment.
We went to the lakes and also tried out the awning which gave us extra space for the kids who are a bit big (age 11 and 13) to both fit in the roof bed. It was handy to have the bike rack too.
As tent campers this was our first venture into the world of camper vans and it feels like were hooked.

John and Linda were very organised with regard to hiring out their VW camper and so we got off to a good start. This was our first campervan experience . The camper had everything we needed and was very straightforward. Everything worked and was in good order. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you John and Linda.
