I’m writing to say thanks so much for an awesome trip in your amazing campervan Jarvie.
Aisling and myself set off for our four night trip with high expectations and these were completely blown by our camper adventure.
From wild camping under the snow-capped mountains of Loch Lomond to the beautiful beaches of Mallaig, Jarvie kept us safe and sound.
We have been looking forward to hiring a camper for quite some time now and Jarvie was kitted out perfectly.
Managed to catch up on a few game of thrones on the big screen which was an awesome experience in itself.
Engine ran smoothly up the Glen Coe pass and the gas cooker brewed many an espresso along back country lochs and woods.
We were the envy of many a tent dweller upon arrival at the campsite.
I cannot recommend getting out to Scotland for a few nights in Jarvie enough if anybody out there is considering it.

A long held fantasy of mine was to be the temporary owner of a beautiful VW, so I was delighted to find one at late notice near home. We were the first customers - and Mike and Justine could not have been more helpful, giving me a great introduction to the van and the ways of a VW. We drove gently to the Gower Peninsula and parked in a lovely site near the sea. I slept like a queen in the van and it was definitely a few stars up from the tent. I would recommend the company to anyone, and I appreciated the extras - the table which would be taken out of the van and a smaller table and comfy chairs so we well set up. On the return journey, we broke down near home. It was a minor problem with the petrol gauge and Mike was a complete star, jumping into his car and coming to the rescue. We felt very looked after and it did not spoil the holiday one bit. I would go again!

We had a fantastic time hiring Harvey through Camperbugs. We drove from Essex to Cornwall and spent 4days checking out potential wedding venues in and around Newquay. What a great place to be in a VW Campervan!, we saw at least another 15 vans and s couple of bugs. We all waved as we passed and had some funny encounters chugging up the steep hills. I would only suggest people with a good level of driving experience hire a van for the first time to cope with some of the quirks but they are uncomplicated and a throw back to a 1970s driving experience. Youll get back in your modern car afterwards and have a whole new appreciation for power steering and modern gearboxes for a start. We based ourselves at a campsite just 1 mile out of Newquay and loved the simplicity of packing up on a morning after making tea and toast in the van and heading off for our day of exploring. Then once back at the pitch, a 10min routine of popping the top and turning it back into our accommodation for the evening and Bobs your Uncle. So simple! And to top it off we found a venue and booked to get married there in 2016! Maybe well turn up in a van hired through Camperbugs!

The three of us had an amazing time taking "Dude" for a long weekend to the Lake District! The van has everything in terms of equipment you could possibly wish for, looks great, is an amazing drive and is just a perfect little home away from home! Sleeping, cooking, taking on the hills of the Lake Distruct and having (cold!) beers from the fridge made a perfect holiday even better! Thanks Dude and hopefully see you soon again!

We had a a fantastic time in the camper van - we rented it for the weekend for my sisters wedding.
We all loved it, especially our 13 year old twins. Wed love to rent the van again, thankyou!

We would like to thank Peter and Bev for everything they did to make our weeks tour of Cornwall go so smoothly. From the first welcoming hello to the wonderful sharing of the highlights of our trip over a cup of tea, Peter and Bev were outstanding in everything they did - very many thanks.

The trip itself was a great mix of places, people, travel, beaches, great restaurant spots, weather, and new friends. Cornwall is a perfect local for a weeks travel in VW Campervan given how close and accessible everything is. From North to South and East to West, one can see a awful lot in 7 - 10 days, and still leave something for next time.

We had a great time in travelling around the beaches - Perranporth, Fistral (famous surfing), and St. Ives. Lots of great places to camp (almost cant go wrong), and easy access to everything.

Throw in the Neil Young, or Ben Howard for the newer age, and a great week ensues.

Hired Jack for a trip to Glastonbury. We were travelling with a 1 yr old so wanted something comfy. Our son got to travel up front while I got some relaxation time in the back :)
Festival was amazing and it was great to have a cozy home base to return to. Our travel cot fitted nicely at the side of the bed. The sleeper tent meant our little one had a safe place to play. Jacks owners are lovely people, I cannot fault the camper or the service.

Had a great weekend in Northumberland with Muriel. It was our first campervan trip, but it wont be our last. It was surprisingly easy with a 3 month old baby. Muriel was charming with the original interior, but also practical with the fridge, stove and plenty of storage. We took her to Boulmer for a couple of days and then up to Beal via Seahouses and Bamburgh Castle. We had great weather too which was a great bonus. Would definitely recommend even if it does take a little while to get used to driving her!

I hired a campervan as a surprise for my partner, and it was the best birthday present ever (his words)!
The owners Sharon and Darren were lovely and they proudly introduced me to Fern and explained everything to me. After a brief test drive we were off!
We had a lovely 3 days and nights in the camper and gradually got more adventurous.
After having stayed on campsites for the first 2 nights we camped on a field for the third (with permission from the farmers wife) and shared our evening with a family of ducks and sat beside a stream which ran through the field.
Fern was equipped with all that we needed for cooking, etc, the owners had thought of everything!
What struck me most was that everyone smiled at Fern and us - from little children pointing her out to their parents to the elderly couples - a very happy weekend!
The only minor issue was that I found the booking process via Camperbug a little cumbersome, with lots of steps before the booking is complete. Otherwise, a great website!

We rented Robs camper van for a week, and had a fantastic time. Its a beautiful van, great to drive, and has lots of facilities. Rob is great to deal with: very helpful and friendly. The space under the roof is ample for small children, but for our 14 and 16 year old it was a bit of a squeeze. I completely recommend Rob and his van! Ralf Jeutter, Hove

We hired Cliff for a week as wed never had a campervan holiday before and were very keen on trying. We planned to drive up to Yorkshire but when we woke up in the pouring rain after our first night camping near Malvern we decided to head to Cornwall! I guess thats one of the perks of holidaying in a campervan... We ended up having a great time and lovely weather, our toddler loved it and our Golden Retriever had just enough space to stretch with the bed open at night. We enjoyed it more and more as the week went on and we got the hang of it. The campsites were not very busy which was nice and the diesel heating (with carbon monoxide detector) works a treat in cool April nights!

The van is immaculate and very well equipped. Anne is very friendly and really well organised, all we had to do was bring our clothes and toiletries. She even posted a game of cards that wed left in the van back to us after the holiday.

Our weekend away was made complete by hiring Gonzo.....what an amazing Camper. The interior is the original which adds to Gonzos charm. He drives perfectly at 5055miles per hour, very reliable. He got so much attention travelling aswell as being pitched up. He has everything you need from a practical side, utensils, bed, hammocks, cooker, sink, lights, curtains, heater etc.

As for Dan and Abi, we couldnt have asked for a lovelier couple to do business with. Very helpful with all my queries, reliable and both extremley friendly. Had no problems at all.

Hoping to hire Gonzo again as we are both now completely hooked, He made a special weekend even more memorable

We had a wonderful trip with this van. A delight to drive, and to live in, from Sheffield to the isles of Lewis and Harris, without any flaws. Theres everything needed inside, and Matthew is very helpful and flexible. Highly recommended !

I was going to email you to say thank you anyway but Ill respond to this email as its just as easy.

As you know, we booked Dougal for my step-daughter Charlottes wedding. Only she knew he was coming so his arrival was welcomed with much excitement from the gathered bridesmaids and the local neighbourhood. I have to say he looked resplendent and a credit to many hours polishing I would suspect!

He made two trips to the church, with bridesmaids and then the bride and her father and then waited patiently, which is more can the be said for me, whilst innumerable photographs were taken, before taking the bride and groom off to the reception. It was all a complete surprise to the groom, who thought it was absolutely marvellous, so a resounding success.

I dont know if you need recommendations, but if you do, Ill gladly be one. I thought the van looked fantastic, I forgot to ask the drivers name with everything that was going on, but I do know you are the owner, and we did spend a fair while chatting. I have to thank you for being so patient as the service turned out to be quite a long one and the photos took longer than I imagined so a lot of hanging around was involved. But a brilliant addition to the day, thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and much appreciated. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Dougal as an addition to anyones wedding. Very different from a white Rolls or a horse and carriage, but great fun.
